How do I add a task from another app?

Press ⌘ Return from anywhere — even when Checklist is not the active app. A Quick Add panel will appear. Type your task and press Return to save it, or Esc to dismiss.

Can I change the global Quick Add hotkey?

Yes. Open Preferences (⌘ ,) and go to the Shortcuts tab. You can set any modifier + key combination as your global hotkey.

How does cloud sync work?

Sync happens automatically when you have a Pro subscription. Sign in with your account on all your Apple devices and the web app — your tasks will appear everywhere within seconds.

Is there an iOS / iPad app?

Yes, Checklist is available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. It syncs automatically with the Mac app when you're signed in.

How do I set up recurring tasks?

Select a task and press ⌘ D to open the due date picker. From there you'll find a Repeat option to set daily, weekly, monthly, or custom recurrence.

What happens to my tasks if I cancel my subscription?

Your data is never deleted. If you cancel, your existing tasks remain accessible in read-only mode. You can export everything at any time from Preferences.

I bought Lifetime on one Apple ID — can I use it on other devices?

Yes. Sign in with the same Checklist account (not Apple ID) across all your devices. Your Lifetime purchase is tied to your Checklist account, not a single device.

How do I restore my purchase after reinstalling?

Open Checklist, go to Preferences → Account, and tap 'Restore Purchases'. If you were previously subscribed, your entitlement will be restored automatically.
